ecosphere celebrates the union of glass and mortar
The mineral spray insulation ecosphere is not only convincing in terms of its ecological footprint. The innovative combination of glass and mortar technologies also brings significant economic advantages. The high energy efficiency as well as the material’s low thermal conductivity of λ10, dry, mat 0<.040 W/kM ensures long-term savings on the heating energy required. But ecosphere doesn’t only insulate, the innovative technology of the material, which is based on hollow glass microspheres, also allows heat to be actively stored and radiates it back into the room in the cooler evening and night-time hours.
Ecosphere can also make full use of its temperature-regulating advantages in the internal insulation of façades. In contrast to panel solutions, the ability to spray the material ensures seamless application and eliminates the risk of cavities forming. This prevents waterlogging and mould formation, keeping the air in the room healthy.
Finally, the product also impresses on the building site with its intuitive method of application. ecosphere is applied “wet-on-wet” in several layers, i.e. in directly sequential application steps up to the desired layer thickness. This avoids any downtime. In combination with its outstanding insulation properties, ecosphere technology is easy to handle. In this way installation errors can be almost completely prevented. The application of spray insulation also ensures a result free of cavities and joints, which also opens up new possibilities in the subsequent wall design.
